Reflection of light

3.2.2 Refraction of light

Reflection of light

  1. Because light reflects off the plane at one angle only, only one ray of light travels from any one point to the eye, forming an optical image on the mirror; the buildup of rays creates a virtual image of an object with an apparent position of being directly opposite the mirror at an equal distance to its actual position
  2. The law of reflection states that the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection, measured from the normal
